Alerts Engine
DPlan's Alerts Engine monitors your project for 14 configurable conditions across schedule, cost, quality, and earned value. When a threshold is breached, an alert fires automatically — no manual checking needed.
Accessing Alerts
- Alerts appear in the Today Panel (Home ribbon → Today button).
- Configure alert rules in Settings → Feature Toggles → Alerts.

Configuring Alerts
Each alert type can be individually enabled or disabled. For threshold-based alerts, you can set the trigger value. Go to Settings → Feature Toggles → Alerts to configure.
Alerts are evaluated automatically when you open the Today Panel or when the Dashboard renders. They don't run in the background — they compute on demand from current project state.
Alerts in the Today Panel
The Today Panel groups fired alerts alongside other urgent items:
- Blockers — from blocker-flagged comments
- Overdue — from schedule alerts
- Due Today — tasks ending today
- Due in 3 Days — upcoming deadlines
- Alert rules fired — all other triggered alerts
