Board View (Kanban)

The Board View displays your tasks as cards on a Kanban-style board, grouped by status, phase, assignee, or risk level. It includes a Morning Brief summary that highlights what needs attention right now.

Accessing the Board

Click the Board tab in the main titlebar (next to Gantt, Calendar, etc.).

Grouping Modes

Use the Group By dropdown at the top of the board to organise cards by:

Mode	Columns
Status	Not Started, In Progress, On Hold, Completed, Cancelled
Phase	One column per summary/parent task
Assignee	One column per assigned resource, plus an Unassigned column
Risk Level	Critical, At-Risk, Watch, On Track, None

Task Cards

Each card shows:

Task name — click to open the task modal
Progress bar — current completion percentage
Risk badge — colour-coded by risk tier (if the Risk Register is enabled)
Status pill — current task status
Shadow dependency glyph — ⇢ appears when the Shadow engine detects a hidden dependency on this task

Morning Brief

When you open the Board View, a Morning Brief summary appears at the top if any tasks need attention. It shows:

Critical tasks — tasks flagged as critical risk or blockers
At-risk tasks — tasks showing schedule or cost variance
Unstarted tasks — tasks past their start date with 0% progress

The brief disappears automatically if there is nothing to flag.

The Board View respects your current filters — if you have a tag or assignee filter active in the Gantt View, the Board shows only matching tasks.

Risk Tiers on the Board

When grouped by Risk Level, tasks are classified into these tiers:

Tier	Meaning
Critical	Task is on the critical path and has a blocker, risk trigger, or major slippage
At-Risk	Schedule or cost variance detected — needs attention soon
Watch	Minor variance or approaching a threshold
On Track	No issues detected
None	Insufficient data to assess risk
